Change keyboard settings in Lubuntu 18.04

When installing Lubuntu the keyboard of my PC was configured in Latin American Spanish keyboard and the keyboard of my PC is Spanish Spain. I got on the website https://rocreguant.com/cambiar-el-layout-del-telelado-al-espanol-con-lubuntu/943 from a surfer named Alejandro, a very simple and practical method to change the configuration of the keyboard.

First step: Right button on the taskbar,

Second step: Choose the Panel Configuration option

Step Three: Panel Preferences appear

Fourth step: Click on the applets tab.

Step five: Then click on Add

Sixth step: Highlight keyboard distribution agent and then click on add

Seventh step: A flag or letters will appear at the extreme right of the taskbar. Right-click on the flag and select the keyboard distribution agent settings. A box titled Keyboard Distribution Agent will appear. Remove the option Keep system distributions.

 When you delete this option, it appears on the left side of the Keyboard Distributions box and in this box, click on add and choose Spanish for Spanish keyboard and Latin American keyboard for Spanish keyboard.
When you finish choosing the right keyboard, highlight the keyboard that was not suitable and click on remove. Redial the option Keep the distributions of the system and later press close.

Cambiar configuración del teclado en Lubuntu 18.04

Al instalar Lubuntu el teclado de mi PC se configuró en teclado español latinoamericano y el teclado de mi PC es español España. Conseguí en la página web https://rocreguant.com/cambiar-el-layout-del-teclado-al-espanol-con-lubuntu/943 de un internauta de nombre Alejandro, un método muy sencillo y práctico para cambiar la configuración del teclado.

Primer paso: Botón derecho sobre la barra de tareas,
Segundo paso: Escoger la opción Configuración del Panel

Tercer paso: Aparece Preferencias del Panel

Cuarto paso: Pulsar en la pestaña miniaplicaciones.

Quinto paso: Posteriormente pulsar en Añadir

Sexto paso:  Resaltar agente de distribución de teclado y posteriormente pulsar en añadir

Séptimo paso: Te aparecerá en extremo derecho de la barra de tareas una bandera o unas letras. Pulsar con el botón derecho del ratón sobre la bandera y selecionar configuración de agente de distribución del teclado. Aparecera un cuadro titulado Agente de distribución del teclado. Eliminar la opción Mantener las distribuciones del sistema.

  Al eliminar esta opción aparece en el lado izquierdo del cuadro Distribuciones del teclado y en este cuadro pulsar en añadir y escoger español para teclado Español y latam para teclado Español Latinoamericano.
Al terminar de escoger el teclado adecuado, resaltar el teclado que no era adecuado y pulsar en quitar. Volver a marcar la opción Mantener las distribuciones del sistema y posteriormente pulsar cerrar.

Lubuntu 18.04 better than Windows XP, 7 and 10

 In my work site my laptop is damaged, and due to the political, economic and social crisis that we live in Venezuela thanks to the scoundrel Psychopath-Delinquent-Criminal-Tyranny CastroChavista, it is impossible economically, for the honest majority, to replace or repair the computer equipment , and I had to bring to my work a Clone Pc with a D845GRG motherboard with a Pentium 4 processor of 2 MGhz and two Giga memory and the famous Windows XP. When using firefox it said that it was an insecure program and then when I went to use Word it could not be because of a virus that detected Avast.

Search the internet for a lightweight operating system for older PCs and find Lubuntu 18.10 32 bit. Try installing it but at the end of the installation, a black screen with the mouse pointer appeared. I checked again on the internet and they suggested if they had a problem with the installation using version 18.04 32 bit alternate. Holy remedy, the installation was as easy as the installation of window and the PC of my work works much faster than my home PC that has Windows 10 with an Intel D945 GTP card and a Pentium 4 processor of 3.4 and 4 Gigabytes of Memory . I'm about to leave Windows 10 and install Lubuntu 18.04 on my home PC. The problem with the Lubuntu 18.10 seems that it does not configure the monitor well and in the alternate version one can specify it. Today windows loses a user and Linux wins one. I was even able to configure my old Citizen GSX-190 with Lubuntu.

 With Abiword I was able to edit my word documents and opened them very quickly. I was able to make my work templates with their header. Browse with my Firefox. and everything very fast. Pity I waited so long to change to Lubuntu. I already activated the wall of fire and what I need is to install ClamAV so as not to miss my antivirtus. I have a spreadsheet and I installed LibreOffice Impress to make my presentations. Lubuntu has everything I need and more.

Why buy a new PC, if my old PC runs very fast with Lubuntu 18.04 alternate. Turn on and off faster than with Windows.

 

En mi sitio de trabajo se daño mi laptop, y debido a la crisis política, económica y social que vivimos en Venezuela gracias a la sinverguenza Psicopato-Malandro-Tiranía CastroChavista, es imposible económicamente, para la mayoría honesta, reponer o reparar los equipos informáticos, y tuve que llevar a mi trabajo un Clon Pc con una tarjeta madre D845GRG con un procesador Pentium 4  de 2 MGhz y dos Giga de memoria y le deje el famoso Windows XP. Al utilizar firefox decia que era un programa inseguro y después cuando fui a utilizar Word no se podía por un virus que detectó Avast.

Busque en internet un sistema operativo ligero para Pc antiguas y encontre Lubuntu 18.10 de 32 bit. Intente instalarlo pero salia al final de la instalación una pantalla negra con la flechita indicadora del mouse. Revisé de nuevo en internet y sugerian si tenian problema con la instalación utilizar la versión 18.04 alternate de 32 bit. Santo remedio, la instalación fue tan fácil como la instalación de window y la PC de mi trabajo funciona mucho más rapido que mi PC de casa que tiene Windows 10 con una tarjeta Intel D945 GTP y un procesador Pentium 4 de 3.4 y 4 Giga de Memoria. Estoy por dejar Windows 10 e instalar Lubuntu 18.04 en mi PC de casa. El problema con el Lubuntu 18.10 parece que no configura bien el monitor y en la versión alternate uno puede especificarlo. Hoy windows pierde un usuario y Linux gana uno. Hasta pude configurar mi antigua Citizen GSX-190 con Lubuntu.

Con Abiword pude editar mis documentos word y los abrió rapidísimo. Pude hacer mis plantillas de trabajo con su encabezado. Navegue con mi Firefox. y todo rapidísimo. Lastima que esperé tanto para cambiarme a Lubuntu. Ya activé el muro de fuego y lo que me falta es instalar ClamAV para no extrañar mi antivirtus. Tengo hoja de cálculo e instalé  LibreOffice Impress para hacer mis presentaciones. Lubuntu tiene todo lo que necesito y más.

Para que comprar una PC Nueva, si mi vieja PC funciona rapidísimo con Lubuntu 18.04 alternate. Prende y apaga más rápido que con Windows.

Configurar Impresora Citizen GSX-190 con Windows 7 y Windows 10

In Venezuela there is an economic crisis that forces citizens to use economic products. Therefore, we use the Citizen GSX-190 printer and want to share with those who still preserved as configure it with windows 7.
Buy a cable Parallel Printer Adapter 36pin to USB, IEEE 1284, Centronics type 2251; 

and connect your printer to a USB port on your PC

First enter devices and printers

Choose Add Printer selection

Select the box to add a local printer

Select the option to use existing port and display the options and select the option USB 001

Continue setting, pressing "next",

in the "manufacturer" window choose the option Generic

and in the "printer" window choose the Generic IBM option, Graphics 9 pin
Print the test page and you will see your printer citizen is ready to be used with windows 7

En Venezuela existe una crisis económica que obliga a los ciudadanos a usar productos económicos. Por eso, usamos la Impresora Citizen GSX-190 y quiero compartir con aquellos que todavía la conservan como configurarla con windows 7.
Primero entrar a dispositivos e impresoras
Escoger la selección agregar impresoras
Escoger la casilla agregar una impresora local
Seleccionar la opción usar puerto existente y desplegar las opciones y seleccionar la opción USB 001
Continuar la configuración, pulsando  "siguiente"
en la ventana "fabricante" escoger la opción Generic
y en la ventana "impresora" escoger la opción Generic IBM, Graphics 9 pin
Imprime la pagina de prueba y usted verá que su impresora citizen está lista para ser usada con windows 7 y windows 10
